Good questions: B"sd back again! 90% + of thyroid nodules are not cancer. Also , thyroid cancers grow slowly and rarely spread until they are 4 cm or more. If a nodule does not grow over time time it is not likely to be cancer. It is fine to keep a close watch on a nodule and not do a biopsy right away. Most endocrinologists do their own US and can offer you a biopsy on the spot if that seems best for you
