B”sd Dr. Jesse Krakauer, MD FACP Dr. Krakauer sees patients at the Metro Detroit Endocrinology Center, Southfield MI, which provides for endocrine patients and accepts a broad range of insurances. He was recognized as an endocrine specialist by Hour Detroit Magazine's Top Docs (2015). Using software based on original research published in the medical literature, Dr Krakauer offers his patients Anthropometric and Densitometric Diagnostic™, reports, which provide a unique approach to diagnosis and treatment based on simple body measurements such as weight, height and waist circumference, in addition to advanced body composition data from DXA scan. Dr Krakauer has 24 years experience as a Clinical Endocrinologist with subspecialty expertise in bone and mineral metabolism and multidisciplinary bariatric programs. He graduated from California’s Stanford University School of Medicine. After an internship in general internal medicine at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he spent several years in Israel, practicing family medicine in the course of which he earned a Community Medicine Certificate from Tel Aviv University Medical School. He completed training in internal medicine at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, Michigan, Dr. Krakauer was a fellow for three years and then spent two years as senior staff physician at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI, pursuing subspecialty interests in Endocrinology & Metabolism, Bone & Mineral and Medical Informatics. In 1995 moved to the Division of Preventive and Nutritional Medicine, William Beaumont Hospital, MI. He then practiced endocrinology at Middletown Medical where he enjoyed loyal and appreciative patients and physician colleagues. In 2014, Dr Krakauer returned to Michigan to be near a growing number of grandchildren.
