1,5 cm nodule found in left breast. doc wants extract for biopsy. believes it;s benign. says amongst multiple nodules in the area believed to be benign as well. what's your opinion? no breast cancer in family. please explain nodule. vry dense breasts?

The doctor who examined you is in a better position to advice you than is feasible in this forum. Talk to him about getting needle biopsy rather than an open one. A skilled radiologist can remove most of a small node with image guided procedure without the need for open surgery.

There are multipple causes of nodules in the breast ranging from benign to malignant. A definitive diagnosis relies on the findings of a pathologist who will correlate the radiologic findings and examine the removed tissue under a microscope and perform the necessary steps and stains required to render that diagnosis.
