A member asked:

I am having shooting pain from the base of my ear and i just got a filling yesterday-should i be concerned?

Shooting pain: I assume the dental filling was place in one of the upper teeth on the same side as the ear pain. If so then the filling may be irritating a nerve causing the pain at the base of your ear. You could also have an early infection in the area. Please see your dentist again or at least call him/her for advice.
