Sore throat: And ear ache. Several possibilities: the filling is high and needs to be adjusted; the decay was very close to the nerve and the tooth may be infected and need a root canal; your TMJ may be sore due to having your mouth open for a long time. All of these can cause pain that feels like an ear ache. The sore throat is probably separate. If it doesn't go away in 2-3 days, check with your physician.
