Yes: This is a very controversial question. I believe it is not a problem, an egg is an excellent source of protein and calcium, the yolk-large cholesterol content. However this cholesterol doesn't translate in the body to the 'bad' cholesterol. Very important is check your entire lipid panel on a doc checkup. If there is a cholesterol problem, then the diet has to be individualized. What else is new!

Problems Unlikely: If you have only 1 egg per day there is a low chance of medical problems resulting in this type of diet. More than this may be too much and remember too many eggs may cause elevation of fat levels.
