Don't know: No studies but i would just clean the retainer with soap and water or some of my patients uses white vinegar.

Ask the maker: Retainers are made from many different materials. For specific instructions on yours ask the person who made it for you. Soap, water, and a toothbrush are usually safe and effective ways to clean retainers.

Yes: Any of the effervescent cleaners are fine when used as directed. Be sure to rinse thoroughly afterwards. You should be just fine. Good of you to think about your child first !

yes: There should be no danger to cleaning your dentures to your fetus. Just make sure that you soak the denture for th prescribed time on the box and then rinse the denture well with water before replacing it into your mouth. Do not soak the denture in cleanser overnight.
