Temdon: I would suspect it could be tendon swelling. Ask your physician if the MRI shows any swelling in the tendon if this is in the wrist joint itself sometimes an arthrogram might help clarify if there are any retinacular tears. You also might want to see a hand specialist. We sometimes see a condition called reflex dystrophy. You might ask your physician to have you see rheumatologist to see if this is S3PE
