What did the MRI: Show? To say a normal person would heal in four weeks is silly if no one tells you what is wrong in your case. Is it possible you have an osteochondral lesion of the talar head? Is their an occult fracture? Is there a ligament tear? What was the damage you were told you had?

Fracture?: Its not uncommon for an ankle sprain to be associated with a tinhy "avulsion" fracture. So I would have the radiologist go back and check for it. If not it does take a while for a ligament tear (a sprain is a tear) to heal. So I would still be careful about walking or playing sports or using heals.
