You may have a wrist fracture. Get this X-rayed and find out if there is a bone problem or a torn tendon. A hand specialist needs to be seen ASAP. If the pain is unbearable, why are you delaying? Get proactive.

I would be concerned about wrist ligament injuries which can give rise to serious instability with associated pain and often have limited swelling of the wrist. Also scaphoid fractures which are very common can be extremely painful with limited swelling you need to seek care with a hand surgeon for evaluation
