A member asked:

I wake up everyday at 5am-6am and when i try to fall back asleep i get "morning insomnia". i don't think this is a normal wake time. what's happening?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The day begins...: It depends on when you're going to sleep. You want to get 6 to 9 hours of uninterrupted sleep per night so if you're going to bed as late as midnight and awakening at 6 you could technically be getting enough sleep. Less than 6 hours nightly is not healthy, contributing to diabetes and difficulty losing weight.
