Slowly taper, but..: If you are only taking the Dothiepin once a day then cutting it in half for a few weeks and then down to a fourth for a few weeks should be a good taper off. However, please understand that tapering off prevents withdrawal side effects it does not prevent recurrent depression. If you still have depression and taper off then the depression can recur. Tapering lexotan is more complicated, see MD
