May be normal: It is not unusual for the palatine tonsils to be of different sizes. In the past the theory was that asymmetry could indicate lymphoma or leukemia. I would watch to see if there is gradual and continuous growth of the larger tonsil. If there is, i would certainly return to your ENT physician for another evaluation. I do not think we can be that glib about this.

Tonsils: Yes it can be normal to have two different sized tonsils, just as it can be normal to have one arm or one earlobe longer than the other. Two different doctors have tried to give you reassurances. Now there are three. Relax. Don't know if it will shrink, but relax.
