You have diagnosis: If a specialist has already told you that in his opinion, the tonsil is normal, there is no way that we can give you different advice. The tonsil is a lymphoid organ and possesses millions of lymphocytes. They are the first line of defense in the upper respiratory tract. Therefore, any inflammatory agent, bacterial, fungal, or viral may lead to enlargement.
