Soreness upper mouth and tongue discomfort on same side. been ent, er, and pcp. no lesions. pcp says anxiety. how does anxiety cause a sore mouth?

Sore mouth: Do you have any lesions in the mouth? Ant red spots? Occasionally viral illnesses can cause some mouth pain both before and after the lesions. Stress can bring out the viral illnesses as it can lower the resistance to infection. Good luck and feel better!
