Chronic pain: It would be helpful to know more details of your pain, such as triggered factors, dull or sharp, duration, and other symptoms associated with your pain, etc. Hopefully, during your colonoscopy, the terminal ileum was intubated to assess of possible crohn's disease. Suggest surgical evaluation for possible exploratory laparoscopy to assess for other causes, possible endometriosis/adhesions.

Don't give up: A diagnostic laparoscopy allow a surgeon to directly look at the organs and possibly remove the appendix. It is worth a discussion with a surgeon about that.
