When they wiggle.: If teeth start to wiggle that means they are loosing support needed to keep them tight.
Splinting (attaching) wiggly teeth to strong stable teeth helps you keep the wiggly ones by spreading out the biting pressures over several teeth and not the few.  The wiggly ones could even tighten up if treatment is give or by giving the a "rest" from hard biting forces.  Earl.

Depends: It really depends on what is causing the problem.  A splint is a great way to protect the joint.  Most facial and jaw pain that is not teeth related are caused by muscle pain in the head, face and neck region.  Treating these areas also will help increase the success of treatment.

can teeth splinting be done for loose teeth  to stabilize them?

Yes.: There are so many ways to split or attach teeth together you wouldn't believe it.  And...It works more times than not.  Splinting can last for a long time too.  Likewise, if the teeth are too loose they may not be saved.  But, i know a good dentist can also splint a tooth that you hand to him. Modern dentistry is miraculous.  Earl.

i feel sick on and off most of the day, wake with a dull headache. i have a splint for my teeth as i did grind but not as much now. what could it be?

Splint: Positive response to splint indicates that your occlusion may be a causative factor of your jaw joint dysfunction.  Consultation with a fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist is definitely in order.

had a bite splint made for grinding teeth. after wearing it i now have popping noise in my jaw when i open. should i stop bite splint or resolve time?

Follow up-dentist: Some times compensation and discomfort with TM joint can cause such popping.
Remember some teethe grinding movements do continue even with the splint at night, when yo are not aware. 
Sometimes Ibuprofen helps if pain is associated with it in front of the ears.

what should i use to stop grinding my teeth at night besides a splint?

There are many: Oral devices that are helpful in this regard.  Two of the most common ones are the nti and the bitesoft devices - both of which cause posterior disclusion - prevent your back teeth from touching so there is a space between your back teeth.  Consult with your dentist to see which device would be best suited for your condition.  Hope this helps.

when you are wearing a soft splint at night how long does it take for the tingling sensation s in your teeth to stop?

Depends: If you are wearing the splint to help with nocturnal clench/grinding of your teeth, and if the "tingling" is due to the bruxism, then soon. Usually a hard nightguard works better. Check with your dentist.

what is good to use on teeth to protect them at night from acid reflux damage? i wear a bite splint and am afraid the splint is holding the acid.

Fluoride rinse: You should thoroughly brush and floss your and then use a Fluoride rinse just before you go to bed.  You can get a rinse over the counter but a prescription dose Fluoride rinse would be better.  Repeat the process when you get up.

after wearing a 24htmj decompression splint for the last 6months& my teeth are in contact only on front. it is hard to eat, tmj pain.is it normal?

Anterior displacemen: I assume that your disc is still anteriorally displaced and you have closed locking of the jaw joints.  Hard to say without a history and exam.  I would certainly inform the dentist/specialist who delivered you the splint and ask for options.  I do some specialized treatment to conservatively get the mandible backward to try and get the teeth touching in the posterior again.  Hope they do too!

does a splint wore more than 6 months after an atrhoscopy could cause irrevesible changes? now my teeth meet on front only&jaw pain without it.

See your dentist: Long term splint therapy can cause changes in your bite.  If you are not sure, see your dentist or the person who made the splint for a follow up.  There may be other treatment options that can help.
