Splint: Positive response to splint indicates that your occlusion may be a causative factor of your jaw joint dysfunction. Consultation with a fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist is definitely in order.

See your Doctor: Any headache always must be viewed as a valid medical disorder and the headache assessment must be comprehensive. See your PCP for consultation, tests and diagnosis. The splint can is only to protect your teeth.

Headache: Teeth grinding can certainly cause headache and TMJ and muscle issues. You need to go for a comprehensive dental /bite evaluation by a Prosthodontist to rule out any bite discrepancies and disharmony. He/she can certainly evaluate your bite and joints and treat or refer you to the right specialist if needed.
