Gastritis: We often find gastritis on upper endoscopy. This could be from usage of aspirin or non-steroidal drugs like motrin or advil (ibuprofen). Another main cause is infection with H. pylori. Your doctor will take biopsies and can treat the H. pylori if present. We often give proton pump drugs like prilosec to heal the inflammation. Other causes cause include alcohol usage, and other types of infections.

: This could be what is left as it is healing. The mucosa can take some time to completely heal and that is why the repeat endoscopy is done-to see if it is completely healed or not. Your GI doctor will need to review these results with you and decide if it needs further treatment or if it will heal the rest of the way on its own without a specific medicine. Gastropathy: Red mucosa could be due to chemicals like naprosyn, aleve, (naproxen) asa or bacterial induced gastritis. Biopsies can show if there is bacteria present. Usually the red mucosa is a non-specific finding.

Lesion on palate: Guess it's safe to say it won't self cure. Any oral lesion present for longer than 2 weeks demands immediate evaluation. You're overdue. As you have had the lesion for 5+ years, I must assume that you are not receiving regular dental care. Please schedule an appointment immediately.

Esophagitis: you'll need to be on a high-dose PPI (Prilosec, nexium) and possibly repeat the endoscopy in 3-6 months to rule out a condition like Barrett's.  I assume they also took biopsies from the esophagus, follow up on that.

the notes on my paper say 
the lesion was polypoid, no bleeding. mucosa was biopsied for histology

should i be concerned about this?

Biopsy results: What did the biopsy show. A polypoid lesion can be many things from a fat pad to carcinoma. You and your doctor may wish to talk to the pathologist who examined the biopsy specimen.

Likely nothing: If t his is at the mid-line, it is called torus palatinus . I suspect that you may irritate the area with your tongue leading to some swelling.  I presume  you have seen your dentist regularly. If there is anything wrong,  he would  have mentioned it to  you.

Nonspecific finding: Lymphoid aggregates are commonly found in the colon and small bowel.  They are a normal finding. Excessive lymphoid aggregates could be related to infections or ibd but they are relatively a nonspecific finding, especially if the other features of ibd are not present.

: Need to discuss with your gastroenterologist.  MAY indicate you have inflammatory bowel disease but from your description can’t tell if it’s Ulcerative Colitis or Crohn’s Disease.  Differentiation very important.  Again, check with gastroenterologist
