On pantoprazole for 8wks to treat stomach ulcers.was neg. for h pylori,celiac.just had repeat endoscopy and now have patchy mildly erythematous mucosa without bleeding in entire stomach.how can i have gastritis being on a medication used to treat it?

This could be what is left as it is healing. The mucosa can take some time to completely heal and that is why the repeat endoscopy is done-to see if it is completely healed or not. Your GI doctor will need to review these results with you and decide if it needs further treatment or if it will heal the rest of the way on its own without a specific medicine.
