H. pylori breath test
H.Pylori urea breath test is used to detect the presence of h.Pylori in the stomach. If present it acts on urea and releases carbon die oxide (co2)and ammonia. The released co2 is measured, and the presence of h.Pylori is confirmed. It is a useful test conducted in about 15 minutes. The sensitivity and specificity of ubt are approximately 88 to 95 percent and 95 to 100 percent, respectively.
