H pylori treatment: If you have symptoms and a positive H. pylori, you should be treated. Left untreated H. pylori can lead to serious consequences. There are several different regimens to treat H. pylori, consisting of a combination of a proton-pump-inhibitor (PPI), and antibiotics. Most regimens also contain pepto-bismol. Taking the medications exactly as prescribed is very important to get rid of H. pylori.
