A member asked:

After completed h.pylori eradication therapy, is it necessary to retest for h.pylori igg/ urea breath test to confirm bacteria fully eradicated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually not: The main reasons for re-testing are: 1. Continued symptoms 2. Family history of stomach cancer 3. Personal history of bleeding ulcers otherwise, the success rates with most hp regimens are good enough to assume successful eradication.
