A member asked:

Results for h. pylori test after 4 weeks of the treatment : breath test is negative, and blood test is positive and high. what does it mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

H Pylori Treatment : Following H Pylori treatment, the most important part of management is to know if a patient is having bloating, or pain suggestive of incompletely treated infection. Urea breath test is often done to determine eradication of the bug; IgG blood test is not helpful after treatment as the test may remain elevated for an indefinite period of time once someone is diagnosed with H Pylori.
