Scrotal ultrasound

Scrotal ultrasound

Share

Link copied

A scrotal ultrasound uses sound waves to visualize the structures of the scrotum, including the testicles, spermatic cords & epididymides. A probe is used in a sweeping motion across the scrotum and groin to create the images. Many standard images are taken, along with measurements & doppler evaluation. Testicular tumors, fluid collections, infection & torsion can be visualized using the test.
