A member asked:

When i was pregnant last year my pap came abnormal and the results were ascus, my doctor said i had high risk hpv and that hpv mrna e6e7 was detected, does hpv mrna e6/e7 detected mean cancer? can hpv mrna e6/e7 go away without causing cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes. HPV infection need not result in cancer. Get HPV vaccine to prevent infection with other strains of HPV. Get repeat PAP smears, as advised by your doctor. Wish you good health!
