A member asked:

I have an abnormal pap smear. hpv was found at high risk. what does that mean? do i have cervical cancer? what happens if i become pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Need for follow-up: You do not have cancer but have higher than normal risk for cancer. You should get PAP smears done yearly, more frequently if your doctor suggests. Pregnancy would be okay, but make sure that you are taking pre-natal vitamins and keep in touch with your doctor for care throughout pregnancy.
