What is the most accurate blood test for herpes i made one which cames out igg +ve igm -ve but it didn't distinguished if it is oral or gentel?

Ask doctor again: Igm antibodies tell us you have not just recently contracted herpes. Igg antibodies positive mean old herpes. Almost everybody in the country has cold sores because of grandmas kissing babies/etc. Oral is 2/3rds type i herpes & 1/3 type ii these days & vice versa for genital. This is only important to know for future reference because type ii is much more severe &.Frequent. Treatment is the same.

I had possible Herpes 2 exposure, no lesions & took IgM and IgG blood tests 2 weeks after the incident. Both were negative. Did I test too early? It is now 32 days post exposure, still no lesions. Do I need to retest?
