Yes: They are correct. Igm tells us if you have an acute or active infection. This was negative, so you do not. The igg tells us you have previously been exposed or infected. This was positive, so you have.

I had possible Herpes 2 exposure, no lesions & took IgM and IgG blood tests 2 weeks after the incident. Both were negative. Did I test too early? It is now 32 days post exposure, still no lesions. Do I need to retest?
