A member asked:

I was tested positive for uti, positive for leukocyte, took meds. it went away. i have the same feeling like i have to pee, no burning. could this be herpes? can positive leukocyte mean i have herpes

Unlikely: Uti are common and are different than genital herpes. To diagnose active herpes, lesions must be observed. If you were never diagnosed with herpes, then this is most likely a uti. If an antibiotic doesn't help, go back to the physician who prescribed it. Hope you feel better soon!

Herpes. : Or this could mean you might have a kidney stone. It is probably not herpes unless you see herpes lesions.

Not herpes: Leukocytes in urine will have nothing to do with herpes. Have the urine sent for a culture likely infection is back or was not completely treated.
