Depends: Hysterectomy can be performed laparoscopically (with or without the davinci robot) , vaginally and abdominally. Your gyn will discuss the best option for you based on the size and position of your uterus and his/her experience.

Hysterectomy: A hysterectomy may be indicated in this situation. Depending on the size of your uterus and previous surgical history you are likely a candidate for minimally invasive surgery. This is usually done laparoscopically or vaginally. You should consult with your doctor and decide what is best for you. If adenomyosis is your diagnosis you may also get some benefit from Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud.
