Not unusual: This is not an uncommon symptom after having general anesthesia. If the problem persists, i would see the dentist/oral surgeon who removed the tooth.

Check with surgeon: If you had general anesthesia and were intubated, it could easily just be from being intubated. Safest thing would be to call surgeon.
