Possibly: If the tooth or gum was infected prior to extraction, it is possible that the infection could have spread. Best to boost your immune system with lots of antioxidants and fluids. See your dentist for follow up care. An antibiotic may be necessary.

Probably not: Unless you had general anesthesia and were incubated for the procedure (breathing tube placed). That could cause a sore throat.
