It shouldn't be: May be that you are mouth breathing at night, could be that you coincidentally ended up with a sore throat. You did not mention if is was a wisdom tooth, if you were infected, or if you are on antibiotics or other meds, so that should be considered, too.

It is possible: Dry mouth and sore throat even one week after surgery is possible. These will slowly subside. Get well soon!
