Waning off omeprazol: Try to take it every other night. And if it works try every third day and than twice a week, and if you have no symptoms of reflux you may stop it and see how you go.You should still keep some, if you eat the wrong kind of food, drink alcohol etc, you may take it to prevent heartburn.Consult your doctor, as tto if you can stop only if you have no endoscoppy evidence of esophagitis etc.
