Depends: A crown can be either cement retained on an abutment or it can be screw retained directly to the dental implant itself. There advantages and disadvantages to both. Certain instances will require a screw retained crown.

Depends: Depends on the preference of your doctor. All of my work are crowns cemented on implant-abutments.

Depends: Depending on the situation the crown can either be screwed or glued in. It depends on how much space there is when the crown is placed and the frequency of retreivability for this crown is.

Either: Depends on the design and placement of the implant supporting it.I always prefer screwed in crowns for a number of reasons. There is no concern with cement irritation of tissues, full seating is confirmed ( no cement layer),no worries about how strong a cement to use to allow retrievability if needed and yet keep crown in place.Typically the posterior (back) allows for screw-in due to no angulation

Either way: Fixed implant reconstructions can be screwed or cemented to the abutments. In some cases dentists combine fixed abutments and screwed abutments in one implant superstructure.
