Someone said to try xanax (alprazolam) for rls but xanax (alprazolam) is addictive i believe or is that ok because i'll always be taking something for rls anyway?

Alternative: I wouldn't use xanax (alprazolam) for rls. There are other medications that can be used to treat RLS that do not have the addiction profile of xanax (alprazolam) nor the withdrawal issues.

RLS: Xanax (alprazolam) is mainly for anxiety. Some studies recommend hydration to avoid muscle spasm while sleeping and do not deprive yourself from sleep. There treatment of choice would be Dopamine agonist. However, it all depends on the severity and duration of your condition. Activities that can help relieve sx: flexing, stretching, massaging affected areas, warm or cold bath or light exercise. Feel better.
