Yes.: Xanax (alprazolam) is one of the harder benzodiazapines to stop. If you were highly anxious to begin with, however, if may be that the problem is returning anxiety as much as side effects from stopping the xanax (alprazolam). Usually best to get another treatment for anxiety in place and then taper off the xanax (alprazolam).
