Potentially: Benzodiazepines such as xanax do have the potential to become addictive. You should talk with your physician about increasing your Prozac to try to prevent your anxiety attacks. Other anti anxiety medications such as vistaril and Buspar (buspirone) are less habit forming than xanax.

Most likely: Yes. Preferably xanax (alprazolam) should be avoided to be taken regularly on a daily basis. Better taken only as needed 4anxiety, 2reduce risk of dependence, side-effect(s) (esp. On memory) & potential withdrawal seizure risk. Please, discuss w/ur doctor how 2consider all rx options including talk therapy, relaxation techniques & homeopathy, etc. So that ur anxiety is safely handled. Best wishes 4 ur health.
