24 hour minimum: Wait at least 24 hours before you smoke. Maybe since you have not smoked for a day you can use this as the start of smoking cessation. Think about it.

Never: It's never safe to smoke, as smoking causes cancers and other health issues. Oh, regarding after the removal of a wisdom tooth? It's never safe until the basic healing is well under way. This can be from 3 to 7 days. Each day has less risk but there is always some risk. Wait as long as you can and consider stopping altogether.

Not a good idea: Smoking will delay healing of teeth removal sites, increase risk of infection and is not good for your general health. Try to quit smoking. Good luck.

Never: It is never "safe to smoke", but it is a very strong addiction, and i read this as a direct question regarding oral surgery. Sucking dislodges newly forming clots and can cause the socket to have exposed bone or a "dry socket". I would assume, if gently drawing the smoke in, 48-72 hours would a proper guideline if you must.
