After wound healing: Smoking is not good for your lungs, and marijuana has the side effect of decreasing salivary flow and therefore produces a dry mouth and gum disease. Tooth socket healing is best supported with normal salivary flow, and usually takes about three weeks. Ask your dentist or oral surgeon if the would has closed sufficiently, and then make your decision.
