Try for never: The sooner you resume smoking, the more likely you run the risk of delayed healing and\or a dry socket. There is no exact number of days generally agreed upon by all surgeons. Try to quit altogether as smoking is a known carcinogen and your run the risk of bigger medical problems such as cancer.
