Hello, i had my bottom left wisdom tooth and my upper left wisdom tooth removed on wednesday 8:30am.. it has been in 96hrs (4days) since then extraction. i am a smoker and i would really like to know is it is safe to smoke now without causing dry sockets

It's safe: After four days a clot has formed so healing is safe but to be sure best to wait a few more days. If you're able to wait 7 days after the procedure maybe you can wait longer and finally give smoking up altogether. take care

You are safe...: The recommendation is to not smoke for at least 24-72 hours. Use this great opportunity to stop smoking permanently.

Probably: You're chances of causing a dry socket are fairly low, but would be better to wait a full week. If you can go a week, you would be giving yourself a wonderful present by trying to quit altogether. I used to smoke, I know how hard it is to quit. But failing to quit can cause.....but you already know all the horrible things smoking can do. Please try to stop.
