NO- good idea!: The vitamin c foundation recommends adults take 1000 mg of vit c 3x/day. Nobel prize winner linus pauling advised 6-18, 000 mg/day. Noted expert thomas levy md advises 6-12, 000 mg/day. I personally take 1-2, 000 mg 2x/day. There is no evidence that 3-6, 000 mg is dangerous. It is my belief that such doses protect against heart disease, cancer and many other chronic diseases.
