Fluid losses: It is very difficult to truly lose 5 lbs. In a week. To do so, you would require a 17, 500 calorie deficit (3, 500/pound). Most likely you were retaining fluid and now have lost that excess, or are now in somewhat of a dehydrated state. Losing one pound each week is realistic and safe.
