More tests?: A nuclear medicine test (hida scan) can help evaluate gallbladder function, if you haven't already had one.

A nuclear medicine: Exam called a hepatobiliary or hida scan may be useful. A hida scan images how the liver makes and secretes bile, as well as how the gallbladder (gb) stores it. You need to discuss this with your doctor. If performed, i would encourage use of sincalide, an injectable medicine that makes the gallbladder contract and provides more information about the gb function than just a hida scan alone.
