Nephrologist: 3+ blood in urine dipstick indicates that there is heme pigment in urine.It could be blood or just the pigment.First , this should be confirmed with microscopic analysis of freshly voided specimen.If there is blood, it should be investigated thoroughly. Scans and ultrasounds will not diagnose certain types of kidney disease..I suggest consulting nephrologist.
