My mother stopped cymbalta (duloxetine) due to cost, now wants to restart. she was prescribed for diabetic neuropathy. can she just resume med, (60mg daily)?

Yes: It may reduce her side effects. Alternatively, venlafaxine or Effexor is another "snri" or serotonin-neorephinephrine-reuptake-inhibitor, in the same class as cymbalta (duloxetine). Cymbalta (duloxetine) was on patent, and received an fda indication for diabetic neuropathy, but your mother could also ask her doctor about effexor, which i've found can be equally as effective and much cheaper.
