May improve: It is possible for kidney functions to improve after stopping nsaids.

Absolutely: Nsaids decrease renal blood flow and can reversibly worsen gfr. If stopped in a timely fashion, then kidney function can improve. However, if taken over an extended period of time, they can cause permanent, irreversible kidney damage.

NASAId's and EFGR: The only sure way to tell if stopping nsaid's improved your kidney function is to go to the same doctor who took you blood in the first place. Have the doctor repeat a blood sample and have it sent to the lab to see what your egfr is. Your recovery may depend on how long you took the nsaid's. The chances of this happening are good. Go to your doctor to find out. Good luck.
