CKD: NSAID medications are generally not given to patients with chronic kidney disease as they put patients at risk for acute kidney injury and progression of disease. With that being said, small doses of NSAIDS may be tolerated by some patients. Regardless, chronic use of NSAIDS for back pain should be avoided - Acetaminophen and stretching exercises will help you more :)

I read that when using Naproxen for chronic conditions (i.e.arthritis), it may take 2 weeks to get the full benefit. Is the same true of all NSAIDs?
I have tried NSAIDS . Was previously on 800 mg ibuprofen 3x a day. Caused stomach issues. Was put on tramadol. No difference in pain despite taking it 4x a day. Have been given cortisone shots .
